MA Music Therapy
BA in Music
After shadowing a music therapist during a work placement at a special needs school, Ceri developed a keen interest in music therapy. Seeing her interests in music and helping people with learning disabilities merge motivated Ceri to study music at the University of York. Here she developed her skills as a community musician and flute player, and regularly played in an Indonesian Gamelan.
Ceri worked as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities and as a peripatetic music teacher, before studying music therapy at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. After qualifying as a music therapist in 2016, Ceri joined Music Therapy Works. Her clinical experience includes working with adults in palliative care, as well as working with adults and children with learning disabilities.
