Meet Anya, 14, who was born with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a rare autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disease that primarily affects the brain and spinal cord. Anya experiences mobility issues and has hearing and vision impairment. She enjoys being outdoors and is a great animal lover, especially horses.

Aliza, Anya's younger sister, makes beautiful films about Anya's life to help other people understand the effects of Sanfilippo Syndrome on an individual and to increase awareness of the condition. We were delighted to see that Aliza had made this wonderful film of Anya's responses to her music therapy sessions with music therapist, Beth Howells. Thank you Aliza and Anya!
