Children and Music Therapy
Music therapy can promote healing and be transformational for children at a time when it may be challenging for them to express themselves verbally. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, Music Therapists can enable a child to begin processing issues through musical play and interactions, improvised song lyrics and sharing music with their family and siblings.
Music Therapists can work with children in:
- Hospitals
- Hospices
- Healthcare centres
- Schools
- Nurseries
Music therapy can:
