Schools

We offer individual and small group work in a wide range of mainstream, SEND, SEMH, PRU, nurture, primary and secondary schools. Music therapy is an ideal medium for any child or young person facing challenges who may struggle to engage with verbal counselling but needs a safe environment to express and explore their emotions. No musical background or aptitude is needed to access and benefit from music therapy.

Music therapy can...

  • support pupils with social, emotional and mental health issues, neurodivergence or other additional needs, including those with an EHCP or receiving PPG
  • help to support school-refusers and pupils at risk of exclusion to remain safely in school
  • develop social skills, positive behaviour, self-respect and confidence
  • improve inclusion in the classroom by offering designated space to process underlying issues and develop transferable skills
  • support with processing trauma, including bereavement, abuse, neglect and attachment issues.
