Doug Bott

Doug is an accomplished arts, health and education leader with a passion for delivering positive social change through music.

Starting out as a cathedral chorister before an early career in experimental rock, he increasingly focussed on inclusive music-making, with considerable experience as an arts manager, music leader, consultant and trainer for organisations including Drake Music, the OHMI Trust and Sing Up.

In 2014 he co-founded Open Up Music, pioneering new opportunities for young disabled musicians through programmes such as the National Open Youth Orchestra.

Doug was appointed CEO of Music Therapy Works in 2024. He also serves as a trustee of St. George’s Bristol and the ABO Trust.
