Joanna Kowalski
Joanna is passionate about the importance of access to the arts for improving people’s wellbeing having worked most of her career in the NHS and mental health charities.
She is a strategic marketing communications leader from an award-winning
journalistic background with significant expertise in brand development, reputation management, marketing, digital and stakeholder/public engagement.
Among her achievements, she was named MIND Journalist of the Year and
shortlisted for Norwich Union Medical Journalist of the Year for reporting of mental health issues in 2005.
She was also shortlisted for best integrated campaign in PR Week Awards 2018 and was winner of a PRCA Digital Award in 2018 for leading Time to Talk Day – the annual mental health anti-stigma awareness day run by the charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.
She looks after her own wellbeing by singing in a choir and taking part in amateur theatre.
